As I begin my second year with Alice ISD, I remain deeply committed to improving the academic performance of all our students. A key part of our success lies in maintaining strong student and staff attendance, as both have a direct impact on student achievement. We continue to focus on ensuring every student leaves Alice ISD prepared for college, career, and military opportunities.

This year, in addition to our focus on academics, we are expanding opportunities for students through the introduction of unified sports, where general education students compete alongside special education students in basketball and track. These sports are sanctioned by UIL, and just like all other UIL sports, our teams will have the opportunity to advance to state.

We are also excited to transition to a self-operated food and nutrition services department, which will allow us to better serve our students and staff with more control over quality and offerings.

Although we've made strides in student performance, our goal is to become an A-rated district. To achieve this, I ask for the community’s ongoing support—because it truly takes a village to succeed.

My vision remains clear: prioritize student safety, improve academic outcomes, and maintain fiscal responsibility. Last year, our motto was "It Starts with Me," and this year, we’re expanding that message with "I Matter"—emphasizing the importance of each individual in reaching our shared goals.

I firmly believe that teamwork is the key to accomplishing our district’s objectives, and I am passionate about ensuring that every student has the opportunities they need to succeed. I am excited to continue working alongside our community to uphold our traditions of excellence and to move Alice ISD toward even greater achievements.

It Starts with Me—I Matter!

What is the Superintendent Student Roundtable?

The Superintendent Student Roundtable provides a leadership opportunity for Elementary, Middle School and High School students across the school district to interact directly with the Superintendent of Schools and provide their ideas, input and views. Each student is selected by the Campus Principal. Participating in the Roundtable will be a great opportunity for students to serve in a leadership capacity, as representatives for their campuses, and provide a voice for their fellow classmates.
