Alice High School Automotive Technology Department Earns NATEF ASE Certification

NATEF  Recognizes Alice High School

Principal, Mrs. Lucy Munoz and Mr. Teo Rios, Automotive Technology Instructor, presented with the NATEF plaque recognizing Alice High School for meeting the standards of quality for the training of automobile technicians in the following areas:  Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance and Suspension & Steering.
National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) Evaluation Team members 

The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) Evaluation Team members Mr. Jim Wood from FESCO, Inc., Mr. Alonzo Garza, Kingsville ISD Automotive Technology Instructor and Danny Galvan with AISD Transportation Department being recognized with a Letter of Appreciation and framed Certificate of Appreciation sent from NATEF Headquarters Office from Leesburg, VA for being part of the team that evaluated the Automotive Technology Program for accreditation.

Welcome

Alice ISD serves over 5,300 students in Pre-K thru grade 12. Located in the "Hub City of South Texas", Alice has come a long way since its first school in 1888.

Currently there are six elementary schools, two intermediate campuses, one middle school and one 4A high school. Three of six elementary campuses have been rebuilt in the last seven years. The middle school has recently been rebuilt and the new campus opened its doors in the 2009-2010 school year. Approval has been given to rebuild one intermediate school campus. Alice ISD is definitely a school district looking to the future.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Alice Independent School District, as total community educational system committed to excellence, with primary emphasis on the pre-k to 12 program, is to graduate students who, through participation in a quality instruction program, in innovative and challenging educational experiences, and in creative partnerships with the community, will develop self system, moral values, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills which will prepare them to become responsible, productive citizens of the 21st century.
