The Coyote Advanced Math Academy is a targeted summer program offered at William Adams Middle School for students currently enrolled in the Accelerated 6th Grade Math course who are on an advanced academic track.

Program Purpose:

This academy supports students who have already covered 6th and 7th grade math TEKS and are progressing toward Algebra I by 8th grade. In alignment with Texas Senate Bill 2124, which ensures eligible students are placed in advanced math pathways, this program:

• Reinforces key 7th grade math concepts.
• Builds student confidence and foundational skills.
• Helps students stay on track for success in Algebra I.

Program Details:

• Location: William Adams Middle School
• Dates: June 3 – June 27, 2025
• Class Days: Monday – Friday
• Schedule:
  • Breakfast: 7:55 – 8:15 a.m.
  • Classes: 8:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
  • Lunch: TBD by campus
  • Dismissal: 12:45 p.m.

Staff Schedule:

• June 2 – June 27: Summer school duration for all staff
• June 2: Staff workday from 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (includes 1-hour lunch)
• June 3 – June 27:
  • Professional staff: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Paraprofessional staff: 7:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (lunch duty as assigned by principal)
