On behalf of Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Anysia Trevino, Good evening, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our Board Members, Mr. Cirilo “Ciro” Zamora. He served our district for many years with a passion to do what is right. He reviewed expenditures and revenues through the eyes of an accountant and the heart of a community member. He questioned when needed and applauded our successes. He recently shared how very proud he was of our district and campus ratings and was looking forward to our first football game at our new Alice Memorial Stadium. He wished all of us an amazing 2026-2027 school year as displayed in our back to school video!! He will continue to live in our hearts and in the district. Our condolences to his wife Sylvia, and children, Marc Joseph, Matthew and Syrena.
