The Alice ISD 2019 Bond Program is an investment in the district’s facilities, teachers and staff, and students. Student success is the ultimate goal and the district’s driving force.
On May 4, a majority, 73.5 percent, of Alice voters passed Alice Independent School District’s bond proposal for $20,790,000 to create 21st-century learning spaces for all students. Intensive analysis, planning and work went into the bond, which is designed to replace, improve, renovate and equip facilities for approximately 4764 students and 760 employees.
Key Projects in the 2019 Bond include: • Alice High School Roof and Parking • William Adams Middle School Classroom Additions • Dubose Classroom Additions and Playgrounds • Schallert Classrooms Additions, Gym, Security Entrance Wall, and Parking • Noonan Classrooms Additions, Gym, Security Entrance Wall, and Parking • Saenz Classrooms, Additions Gym, Security Entrance Wall, and Parking
Other Items: • Salazar, Memorial, Hillcrest Facilities Use • Attendance Zones, Transportation, and Parent Information Session • Districtwide improvements for all teachers and all students.
The District will work diligently to utilize bond dollars responsibly while providing quality construction and renovations to the campuses of Alice ISD. The Facilities Taskforce Committee will continue to provide oversight and serve as an advisory committee to Alice ISD School Board and administration for any potential projects. Community will also continue to be informed on the status of all projects.
