Attendance Policy
TRUANCY
FED (Legal) : If a student fails to attend school without an excuse on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school year, a district shall within 10 school days of the student's 10th absence refer the student to a truancy court for truant conduct under Family Code 65.003(a).
The district may file a complaint against the student's parent in a county, justice, or municipal court for an offense of parent contributing to nonattendance under Education Code 25.093 if the district provides evidence of the parent's criminal negligence.
ABSENCE REQUESTS FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
If your child needs to be absent for the day, kindly use your Family Access account to submit an Absence Request. Please remember that you have a window of 5 days after your child returns to school to submit an excuse. For any further inquiries, feel free to contact your child's campus.
