Guillermo Ruiz 361-664-0981 guillermo.ruiz@aliceisd.net An Alice Coyote all my life, I have been with Alice ISD for 35 years. During my time in AISD, I have been in the administration ranks for the last 23 years, including the last 3 years as Deputy Superintendent of Schools. I have served as a paraprofessional, teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, Director of Operations, Chief Operations Officer and currently as Deputy Superintendent. It is a great honor to be serving as Deputy Superintendent for Alice ISD. I look forward to working with the staff, parents, students and community organizations as we strive to make the Alice Independent School District the top performing school district in the state of Texas. As an educator, I’m committed to providing students with an educational program that meets their individual needs while at the same time challenging and stretching their limits intellectually. We need to do that in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and full of high expectations. Ultimately, our job is to prepare all students to be well rounded and prepared for college, career or the military. I’m a product of the Alice ISD school system, graduating from Alice High School in 1981. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 1993 and a Master of Science in Educational Administration in 1999 from Texas A & M University-Kingsville. My wife Sandra and I are the proud parents of three children and three grandchildren. Stephanie Ann Ruiz and Federico “Tres” Gonzalez are both graduates of Alice ISD. Tres and his family live in Alice. Our youngest son Marco Alan Ruiz is a graduate of Alice High School and is currently a sophmore at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Our daughter Stephanie is in heaven as she lost her battle with breast cancer in August of 2021 at the age of 39. Our grandchildren, Alexis Garcia is a sophmomore at Alice High School. Our youngest grandchildren, Oliva Marie Gonzalez and Gavin are elmentary students at Alice ISD. Go Coyotes!
