The Alice ISD Business Office is responsible for all district funds, coordination of financial systems, district employee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, print shop, employee benefits and food services. Also, the department oversees the annual budget process, district investments, and state and federal financial reporting.
Juan Zamora, CFO, is a high school graduate of Cotulla, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in San Antonio where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting in May of 1997. He attended Webster University where he received his Masters in Business Administration in Management in 2007. Zamora worked in the private sector for the first 5 years of his career, before going back to Cotulla, Texas, to take the position of Business Manager at Cotulla ISD. He has been in public education ever since this first opportunity serving as Executive Director, Director, and Assistant Superintendent over the last 20 years. He has been in districts as small as 1,000 students and as big as 50,000 students. He is passionate about the work we do to help support the education of our community.
