The Alice ISD Superintendent's Elementary Student Round Table met Tuesday morning at the Central Office. In the group's first meeting earlier this year, students said they wanted to learn more about the ACE program and Alice athletics, so guests at the round table included Dr. Alma Garcia, the district's Director of Federal Programs and Compliance/Family Engagement, and Alice athletic director J.R. Castellano. Dr. Garcia spoke about the ACE after-school program and Castellano spoke about the importance of physical education and how it transitions into athletics. The round table, made up of student representatives from each campus, celebrated the Christmas season by decorating gingerbread men... another great day at Alice ISD!
Alice ISD is currently the third largest district in Region 2. The district serves just over 4300 students, and is home to one high school (9-12), one middle school (6-8), and four elementary campuses (PreK - 5th).
